Description:

Gulaab Gang is a 2014 Bollywood film centered on the struggle of women in the country. It is presented by Sahara Movie Studios and Bharat Shah, directed by a debutant director Soumik Sen and produced by Anubhav Sinha, starring Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla as leads. The official Trailer was released on 10th January 2014 and was met with a mixed response. It was unable to create the usual pre-release buzz. The movie's soundtrack was released on 28th January 2014 and was also not well-received by critics. The film released on 7th of March 2014 under the banner of Sahara Movie Studios with a screen count of 1,600 in comparison to 850 for Movie Total Siyapaa and 800 screens for Queen hence Gulaab Gang faced very strong competition just one day before Women's Day 8 March 2014.

The film is produced by film-director Anubhav Sinha. Sinha is known for directing a romantic film Tum Bin (2001) and lately for a science-fiction superhero film Ra.One (2011). Soumik Sen, who has previously been credited as the writer for the films like Anthony Kaun Hai? (2006), Ru Ba Ru (2008), Meerabai Not Out (2008) and Hum Tum Aur Ghost (2010), is directing the film. This is Sen's first directorial venture.
